Montgomery County and Valley Forge are the sites of so much battlefield history, heroism and tragedy.  So it’s no wonder that the spirits of times past may still inhabit the area’s buildings and landscapes.

October is the perfect time to experience Montgomery County’s ghostly legends. The Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board offers this list of places where special tours are happening in October, with a focus on the paranormal. Included are Paoli Battlefield Historical Park, Graeme Park, Valley Forge National Historical Park, Rising Sun Inn, Eastern State Penitentiary, Black Powder Tavern, Historic General Warren Inn, and Selma Mansion. All are steeped in history and are known as places where spirits are frequently seen or heard.
