Goats are the trendy new lawn and garden accessory for homeowners who hate to mow, or who just want to be more eco-friendly. Businesses are going goat, too. Google has given up gasoline-guzzling mowers at the Googleplex, the company’s Mountain View, California, headquarters. Instead they rent self-propelled weed eaters from California Grazing, a company that promotes their cute and cost effective critters as being ideal for removing thistle, brush, weeds and other invasive plants. For home use, it’s best to check your local zoning ordinances before going the rent-a-goat route.
