Montgomery County is a great place to paddle a kayak or canoe, or enjoy everyone’s latest favorite, SUPing (Stand Up Paddleboarding). This awesome area offers a variety of water destinations for a day of floating, paddling, fishing, picnicking and enjoying nature. Green Lane Park, the Perkiomen Creek and the Schuylkill River offer some of the county’s best kayaking and canoeing destinations.

Rentals are available at a variety of locations, including Take It Outdoors in Pottstown, Port Providence Paddle in Phoenixville and Green Lane in Schwenksville.  For the truly adventurous, annual paddling events offer the opportunity to explore our rivers and creeks from beginning to end with days-long excursions including the Schuylkill River Sojourn and the Perkiomen Creek Sojourn.
