Sweater weather will soon turn to the season of snow and ice – and that means we’ll all be looking for extra warmth.

A wood stove can make a real difference in keeping your home warm and cozy.  Which wood stove is best? There are many styles, but your first consideration should be what kind of fuel you will want to use. The two main choices are firewood and wood pellets. Each works with a different type of stove, and each offers its own advantages and disadvantages. A pellet stove is easier to use, but it requires electricity.  So, if you lose power, you’ll also lose the ability to heat with your stove. A wood stove can be used without power, but wood can be labor intensive and messy.
