If you’re hoping to make the move to a beautiful new home in the near future, you may need to sell your existing home first. Now’s the time to get moving, but it’s important to know what things to spruce up – and what you can leave alone.

This article from the Philadelphia Inquirer can help. It suggests starting with decluttering and deep cleaning, then working on improvements that can create a good first impression. Interior painting is one sure bet. Another is an inexpensive upgrade to your bathrooms to fix leaky faucets, adjust running toilets and freshen grout. Writer Cynthia Henry also suggests renovations to avoid, such as remodeling a kitchen or finishing a basement.
