After close to a decade of interior color schemes trending grey, new shades are about to make their debut.  A number of paint companies have revealed their 2020 Colors of the Year. In all but one case, the palette is going softer and more colorful. 

Benjamin Moore’s choice is a rosy hue called First Light. Behr is going Back to Nature, with a slightly yellow-based, green shade. Valspar is also taking inspiration from the natural world, offering not one but a full palette of warm, softer shades.  The lone company sticking with a darker shade is Sherwin Williams, who has created a new take on navy blue, appropriately named “Naval.”
