Accessible Home Design

September 23rd, 2020

Home builders, architects and remodelers are making strides in designing accessible homes. That means individuals who are disabled, elderly or looking ahead with a desire to age in place can increasingly enjoy homes of all styles and designs that are user-friendly, safe – and beautiful. Even an 18th-century farmhouse can be transformed into a comfortable home that’s completely wheelchair accessible.

One such home and its owner are profiled in this article from the Philadelphia Inquirer. The home features an elevator, motion lights, a roll-in shower, lower kitchen counters and sink, an accessible bedroom balcony and many other features.

If you have an interest in building a home with accessible features contact Sal Paone Builders.  We can build a fully custom home, or add accessible features to models offered in our communities. Let’s explore the possibilities together!
